Kidderminster Oktoberfest is back for 2026 🍻 After the amazing response to our first Oktoberfest last year, we knew we wanted to bring it back to The Weaving Sheds this October from 4pm to 11 🙌 We loved seeing so many people there last year enjoying the food, live music and a few beers, and this year we want to bring even more of that traditional Oktoberfest feel to Kidderminster 💙 We’ll have a live Oompah band, live music, a DJ playing plenty of party anthems, street food, face painting and more throughout the evening. This week we’re shining a light on Crested Schoolwear Kidderminster 👏 With over 20 years of experience, Crested Schoolwear opened their Kidderminster store last October and now supply uniforms for more than 30 local schools. But what makes the business even better is their passion for supporting young people locally. We climbed Snowdon for Forces Support Kidderminster 💙 This Wednesday, the Kidderminster BID team took on Snowdon to raise money for our amazing local charity, Forces Support. They do invaluable work supporting veterans and bereaved Service families, and we wanted to do our bit to raise both money and awareness for the support they provide 👏 It was a great team effort from everyone involved. It was definitely a bit nippy at the top, but we all made it 🙌 A massive thank you to everyone who supported us, whether you donated to Forces Support or simply sent us a message wishing the team well. Our local Chapman Opticians - kidderminster is getting a fresh new look 👓 The branch will be undergoing a refurbishment, and here’s a quick look at what it will look like once it’s finished. It’s looking like it will be really smart, modern and welcoming, and we can’t wait to see the finished result 👀 They have a brilliant branch here in Kidderminster with a fantastic team who genuinely want to do their best for local customers, so they’re definitely worth popping in to see 💙 📅 Chapman & Myers Kidderminster will close for refurbishment from Monday 14th September and reopen at 2pm on Monday 21st September. They’re also trialling early morning appointments on Mondays and Fridays, giving customers a little more flexibility when booking an appointment. Our FREE Pop Up Games start tomorrow ☀️ We'll be in Kidderminster town centre on 12 & 13 August, with plenty for the kids to get stuck into, including Giant Jenga, Giant Dominoes, Kerplunk, Chess, Skittles, beanbags and more. We'll be running two sessions on both days: 🕙 10am–12pm 🕐 1pm–3pm With the warm weather, please make sure children come prepared with sun cream, hats and plenty of water. We'll also have a gazebo up to provide some shade during the sessions. Children must be accompanied by an adult. That’s a wrap on the Kidderminster Canal & Food Festival 2026 💙 We’re genuinely blown away by the support this event has had over the weekend. The turnout from people across Kidderminster and from further afield went beyond what we expected, and it’s been brilliant seeing Weavers Wharf so busy across both days. A massive thank you to everyone who came along, as well as all the traders, performers, teams and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the weekend happen. And of course, it’s been great to partner up with FAB Food Fest once again and bring another event like this to the town. 👏 This was our first big event of the year, and we’ve got more planned. For now though, we just hope everyone who came along had a brilliant weekend and enjoyed it as much as we did.
