Our local favourite, The Post house on Blackwell Street, has had a full makeover, and it’s looking brilliant 🤩 The Post House are reopening their kitchen with a brand-new menu, with everything from burgers and pub classics to breakfasts, sharing plates and a few proper comfort food options too. Prices are really good as well, and to celebrate the launch they’re currently offering 25% off food (excluding drinks and meal deals/offers). The full new menu launches this Monday 11th May. Swesh Studio has officially opened on Oxford Street, and it looks amazing both inside and out 🤩 Their team have completely transformed the old 45 Live into a really high-quality, welcoming space focused on community fitness, with a great range of classes on offer. Swesh Studio was formerly on New Road. It’s brilliant to see a local independent grow and invest back into the town centre like this, especially with such a strong community focus behind it 💙 They’ll also be holding their full launch party on Sunday 24th May, so keep an eye out for that. Talbot Park on Worcester Street is now officially open to the public, and honestly, it looks great. 🌿 After months of waiting, it’s good to finally see people using the space, and it brings some much-needed greenery into the town centre. The weather turned up for it too, which made for a really nice opening with a great turnout. Our amazing local café Eazy Lounge has only gone and won Best Café in Worcestershire, a huge achievement. 🙌 A real proud moment for them and for Kidderminster. The effort they put in, the quality they bring, and the way they welcome everyone through the doors really shows, and now they’ve put our town on the map with this win. The sun’s mostly stayed out this week, and our outreach team have been busy continuing their efforts to help make the town cleaner, safer and more welcoming. 🌟 As part of our ongoing support for local businesses, we spent some time with our amazing, heritage-packed Museum of Carpet following their recent reopening. We couldn’t not pop down! The team got stuck into de-weeding, clearing moss, cleaning brickwork and giving the outside a much-needed bit of TLC, and what a difference it’s made. 🌱 Alongside this, the team have collected over 9 bags of litter across the town centre while continuing to support businesses throughout the week. 🙌🏻 Fingers crossed the weather stays with us. The sun was out last week, so we thought we’d pop into Mr Tee Records over in the Horsefair, and what a hidden gem it is 🌟 If you’re local, chances are you already love this place… but if you’ve never been, it’s honestly worth a visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a brilliant team and a vibe that instantly takes you back. It’s one of those shops you can easily lose time in. Huge shoutout to Terry and Adam who run the store, along with Stuart Morton and DJ MJ all doing an amazing job keeping this iconic spot alive. 💙 What’s even more impressive is that Mr Tee Records is coming up to its 50th Anniversary in our town centre. That says everything about how loved and supported it is locally. Honestly, I think they might have the biggest record collection I’ve ever seen, I’m pretty sure if you asked, they’d find something you didn’t even know existed. From Metallica to Harry Styles… that pretty much says it all 😉 Their Open Day is also coming up, celebrating alongside Record Store Day, supported in partnership with Back2House Radio, an award-nominated house music station based in Stourbridge and the first of its kind across the West Midlands and Worcestershire. It’s been a warmer week and our outreach team have been busy continuing their efforts to keep the town cleaner and safer ☀️ Chris and Ricky have been hard at work across Worcester Street, New Road and Oxford Street, de-weeding and freshening up footpaths, and with the sun out, it’s made for a good grind! This week alone we’ve collected over 9 bags of litter. 🌱 As always, there’s been a few interesting finds along the way… including a crisp packet dating back to 2004 (basically ancient now 😅), a rogue kettle, and even a whole stash of security tags.
