Just one day to go until Kidderminster Oktoberfest 2026 🍻 We're back at The Weaving Sheds tomorrow from 4pm–11pm, with a live Oompah band, plenty of music on stage and some great street food. We know the weather isn't looking the best, but don't worry, the event is still going ahead. The venue is undercover but open-sided, so we'd recommend wrapping up warm. There'll be bars serving German beers, plus loads of street food including BBQ, pizza, German sausages, burgers and sweet treats. Our Christmas Lights Switch-On is back on Saturday 14th November, from 3pm–9pm, with the lights being switched on at 5:30pm✨ We know quite a few of you have been asking about this year's event, so here's your date. There'll be live music, festive market stalls and plenty more happening throughout the day. We'll be sharing more details soon. We absolutely love putting on these events, especially at Christmas. It's always great seeing so many people out enjoying themselves and supporting the town. Yesterday, following a report from Boots, Sam and Mike our outreach officers worked alongside local police to recover nearly £4,000 worth of stolen stock, which was successfully returned to the store 👏 It's not all about putting on big events. Supporting our local businesses and keeping Kidderminster town centre safe is just as important. Mustard and Co Barbers officially opened their doors on Oxford Street last week, and it's amazing to see another business opening in our town centre👏 I popped in to meet the team and have a look around, and I have to say, the place looks amazing both inside and out. The NEST - Kidderminster has officially opened inside Kidderminster Foodbank 💙 We were invited down to have a look around and meet the team, and they’ve done an amazing job with the place. It’s a proper hub for the community, with so much available under one roof including food and health support, therapy, a free physio clinic, a kids’ space and plenty more, you can also find Wyre Forest Baby Bank inside as well 👏 Places like this are so important for any town. If someone needs a bit of extra help, having somewhere local where they can access different types of support all in one place makes a real difference 💙 The team were so welcoming and it was great getting to see everything they’ve been working on. Co-op Travel has officially opened inside Morrisons Kidderminster ✈️ We popped down for the ribbon cutting today and the new branch looks amazing. Kidderminster Oktoberfest is back for 2026 🍻 After the amazing response to our first Oktoberfest last year, we knew we wanted to bring it back to The Weaving Sheds this October from 4pm to 11 🙌 We loved seeing so many people there last year enjoying the food, live music and a few beers, and this year we want to bring even more of that traditional Oktoberfest feel to Kidderminster 💙 We’ll have a live Oompah band, live music, a DJ playing plenty of party anthems, street food, face painting and more throughout the evening. This week we’re shining a light on Crested Schoolwear Kidderminster 👏 With over 20 years of experience, Crested Schoolwear opened their Kidderminster store last October and now supply uniforms for more than 30 local schools. But what makes the business even better is their passion for supporting young people locally. We climbed Snowdon for Forces Support Kidderminster 💙 This Wednesday, the Kidderminster BID team took on Snowdon to raise money for our amazing local charity, Forces Support. They do invaluable work supporting veterans and bereaved Service families, and we wanted to do our bit to raise both money and awareness for the support they provide 👏 It was a great team effort from everyone involved. It was definitely a bit nippy at the top, but we all made it 🙌 A massive thank you to everyone who supported us, whether you donated to Forces Support or simply sent us a message wishing the team well.
