Another week, another update, and as we move through the festive period, Ricky and Chris have been out across town continuing our BID team’s ongoing cleansing work. 🌟 This week they clocked up over 40,000 steps and collected 6 bags of litter, focusing first on clearing ivy and built-up plant debris along the footpath leading towards town, Tesco and the bus stop. The walkway has now been noticeably widened, giving everyone much more room and making the route feel safer and more comfortable during this busy shopping season. 🌿 They’ve also headed over to the Horsefair, giving the greenery by the horseshoe a much-needed tidy and lift, making the area look visibly cleaner and more welcoming as you pass through. As part of our Christmas Light Switch On celebrations on 15th November, we were thrilled to share a little extra festive fun at the Museum of Carpet✨ A huge congratulations to Max, our lucky winner of the Museum of Carpet Trail. After completing the trail on Saturday, he received a £25 gift card from The Entertainer, a well-deserved prize and a lovely moment to kick off the festive season. Another week, another update on our ongoing clean-up efforts. 💙 This week our BID team have been busy across town, clocking up over 40,000 steps and collecting 10 bags of litter while tackling weeds, clearing pathways, and giving well-used routes a much-needed lift. From edging overgrown pavements to cleaning road signs and refreshing business fronts, the team have been working hard to keep the town looking tidy and welcoming. 🌿 Over by the Aldi car park, we supported Wyre Forest District Council by tidying the surrounding pathways, cutting back foliage, clearing debris, and reshaping the borders to make the footpath fully accessible again. The work has already made the space feel cleaner, brighter, and easier for people to move through. Kidderminster Darts Supplies has officially opened on Oxford Street and it’s already becoming a popular spot. 🎯 The owners and team have done such a brilliant job with the unit, it looks great inside, and they’ve packed it with pretty much everything you could need if you’re into darts or fancy giving it a go. They’ve got so much passion for the sport and are committed to bringing the best quality dart supplies to our local community. 💙 The atmosphere today was fantastic, with loads of people popping in, and you can already tell it’s becoming a favourite on Oxford Street. Smash My Patty has officially launched inside Cue and Brew Sports Bar Kidderminster and we couldn’t be happier to see it open. 🤩 Mike, the owner of Smash My Patty, is a great guy who genuinely wants to bring the best into our town centre and community. The team at Cue and Brew and Smash My Patty are amazing, and we can’t wait to see how well this does, the food looks delicious and honestly worth a try. 😋 Using ingredients that are locally sourced as much as possible, the menu features slow-cooked brisket, smash burgers and much more. You may have already seen the news… but Kidderminster Town Hall is looking absolutely incredible after its full makeover. 🤩 And yes, finally, the barriers have gone, and we can all clearly see just how much work has been done. The transformation is truly impressive, both inside and out.💙 But if you haven’t had chance to pop in yet, here’s a little look inside. Last Saturday, Drag Me Out UK officially opened on Bridge Street in the town centre, and it’s already bringing something really special to Kidderminster. 💙 The restaurant is a stunning new addition bringing high-quality food and a memorable dining experience to Kidderminster, Drag Me Out is owned by Meggie. This is her first ever restaurant, and she’s done an incredible job, the space looks amazing, it has such a welcoming feel, and you can really see the hard work from Meggie and the team who have helped her bring it all together. The menu has some great standout dishes too, including Korean Chicken Bites, Mac & Cheese Balls and Halloumi Pops, with plenty more to try. It’s fantastic to see another quality spot opening in the town centre. 😋 The Town Mayor, Doug Hine, cut the ribbon alongside the Mayoress, making the opening even more special for Meggie and her team.
